In what mode does Evangelii Guadium, the first apostalic exhortation of Pope Francis, call upon the academic community and university reseach? The question was at the center of the recent Seminar for professors that took place Thursday, May 15, 2014, participated by teachers from all the Schools as well as the Institute of Religious Sciences. Between interventions and debates that ensued, useful ideas emerged concerning teaching and researching in theological, philosophical, canonical and communications fields.

 Speech by Card. Dolan (40'58'')

Titled Church Communications: Creative Strategies for Promoting Cultural Change, the Seminar aimed to provide “positive experiences and networking opportunities among communication professionals as well as tools for debating and communicating the faith in the public sphere”.

"When the Gospel – wrote the organizers – is incarnated into lifestyles, ideas, and cultures, a creative force is born that is capable of changing the world. The challenge for the Church communicator is to shed light upon the allure of this innovative force in the various folds of a secular and pluralistic society".
