The web site for Acta Philosophica, the School of Philosophy´s academic journal, has been renewed, and now allows a topical search of all the published editions. More than four hundred and fifty biliographic reviews, as well as four hundred articles, many in full text, are accessible on-line.

CHURCH UP CLOSE 2012: A SUMMARY

The Holy Father Benedict XVI has authorized the Congregation for the Causes of Saints to promulgate the Decree on Heroic Virtues of the Servant of God Álvaro del Portillo, the first successor of St. Josemaría as head of Opus Dei.

Journalist Greg Burke, a former Lecturer of the School of Communication, has been appointed advisor on communications to the Holy See Secretariat of State. 

On Monday, June 18, in the presence of H.E. Msgr. Javier Echevarría, Bishop and Prelate of Opus Dei, a ceremony took place to mark the opening of the Process of Beatification and Canonization of Dora del Hoyo, the first numerary assistant of Opus Dei.

Registration has begun for summer courses in Latin, Greek and Hebrew offered by the Department of Languages.

The Institute of Higher Religious Studies has organized a round table discussion focusing on “The Family, Crossraods of Development.” The intitiative took place on June 14.

On Friday, June 8 a presentation of  "The secret portrait of Cardinal Celso Constantini" took place. Edited in 2012 by Marcianum Press, the work is under the care of Msgr. Fabio Pighin, a Professor for the School of Canon Law St. Pio X in Venezia.

Rome, May 18, 2012—Regarding the recent criminal investigations affecting the building of St. Apollinare Basilica, today the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, which makes use of the facility, organized an informative session for professors, students, and administrative personnel.
