Our library has published a scientific article in JLis.it, one of the most important Italian magazines focusing on Library Science. The article is entitled: Recupero della classificazione decimale Dewey da altre basi di dati: un progetto di bonifica del catalogo, (The Recovery of the Dewey Decimal System from Other Databases: A Catalog Recovery Project). It was written by Stefano Bargioni, Michele Caputo, Alberto Gambardella and Luigi Gentile.

Within the next few days, 24 students from the School of Institutional Communications will depart for Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) where they will serve as Volunteers for the Department of Communications in the next World Youth Day Rio 2013. They will be accompanied by Professors Daniel Arasa and Jorge Milan.

His Holiness Pope Francis sent his Apostolic Blessing to the entire academic community of the Holy Cross, returning the gesture of devout homage that the University gave him when he was elected to the Chair of Peter.

Last Tuesday, June 11, a group from Ave Maria University (USA) visited our University.

Formed by both students and professors from the Department of Classical Languages and Christian Literature, the group was in the middle of a 10 day tour designed to show them up close the roots of modern culture.

The University Chancellor and Prelate of Opus Dei, H.E. Msgr. Javier Echevarría was received by Pope Francis in a private audience on Monday, June 10.

Msgr. Echevarría assured the Pope of his prayers for him and his intetions, on behalf of the thousands who receive Christian formation from Opus Dei.

On June 3, 2013, our University signed a collaboration agreement with the Catholic University of Valencia (Spain).

Among other things, the agreement provides for the development of academic research and teaching programs through the exchange of professors as well as the mutual participation in classes, seminars, and conferences.

On Friday, June 7, in collaboration with the Forum of Family Associations and the Fiuggi Family Festival, took place a closing seminar for the project called "Associated Families. Associative Relationships and Communications." The topic of the seminar will be "Telling the Family's Story: Challenges and Opportunities for Associations."
