The University Chancellor and Prelate of Opus Dei, H.E. Msgr. Javier Echevarría was received by Pope Francis in a private audience on Monday, June 10.

Msgr. Echevarría assured the Pope of his prayers for him and his intetions, on behalf of the thousands who receive Christian formation from Opus Dei.

The meeting was deeply filial and cordial. The Prelate also thanked the Holy Father for his generosity as Supreme Pastor of the Church, and asked for his blessing on all of the apostolic work promoted by the Prelature of Opus Dei.
