Norms for Drafting the Doctoral Thesis

a. By the end of the first semester, students must submit a request for their thesis topic's approval,  indicating the thesis director they have chosen. It should be addressed to the Dean of Faculty and submitted to the Academic Registrar. Along with the request, an outline bearing their Director's approval must be attached. The approved topic is valid for 5 years, after which time it must be renewed yearly.

b. Each chapter of the thesis must also be examined by a co-director appointed by the Dean at the moment of the topic's approval. The co-director has 15 working days to notify the student of his observations, by way of the thesis director. Once a complete draft of the thesis has been finished, before printing and binding a final copy, students must deliver a copy of their thesis to the Academic Registrar in order to receive authorization for its defense from their co-director.

c. Students must turn in five bound copies of their thesis to the Academic Registrar with the signature of their director on the first page, and must also pay the relevant fee. One copy of the thesis will be returned to the student with the University seal on the first page.

d. The discussion of the Doctoral thesis is public before a commission of professors, in the time period between October and June. The date (at the earliest, fifteen working days after the thesis has been submitted) and the time, will be communicated by the Academic Registrar.
