Daniel Arasa was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1971. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism (1994) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain, a Bachelor's Degree in Theology (1999) from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome, a M.A. in Television and Radio (2001) from the Southern Methodist University (SMU), Dallas, TX, and a PhD in Social Institutional Communications (2007) from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome. From 1994 to 1997, he worked as a journalist in the political, social and local sections of Europa Press news agency, Spain. Since 2001, he has taught Digital Communications at the School of Church Communications of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. He has published Church Communications Through Diocesan Websites. A Model of Analysis (2008), and is co-editor of Religious Internet Communication. Facts, Trends and Experiences in the Catholic Church (2010).
A journalist, Marc Argemí received his Ph.D in communications from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is currently the Managing Partner of Sibilare Consulting and Associate Professor at the International University of Catalonia. He’s an expert and adviser in media and social network monitoring. He has worked in the field of crisis of rumors and of credibility in the communication of institutions in both the public and private spheres. He carries out audits of credibility for organizations from the perspective of institutional communications, and participates in investigations in this field, both in the academic and professional consulting worlds.
Eduardo Arriagada has been professor at the School of Journalism at the Catholic Univeristy in Santiago (Chile) since 1988, where he has acted in various academic activities, and since 2001 has been teaching as an adjunct professor. In addition to teaching there, he also studied journalism at the same university, and earned an MBA from the IE (Instituto de Empresa) Business School in Madrid. His areas of research include information industry and business management of communication mass media, specializing in newspapers. In March of 2006 he resumed full-time work at the Catholic University to direct the design and creation of an organization aimed at creating a series of media to direct the internships of the students during their six years of study. Between 1993 and 2000 he was Director of the Center of Press Studies, an entity of the Catholic University in Santiago, and was in charge of applied research and consulting to newspaper businesses. In this context, he worked as an adviser to daily papers such as La Tercera, El Diario Financiero, La Nación, and El Mercurio, as well as other national and international media. Between 1998 and 2003 he was director of Latin America for an association of editors and designers called Society for News Design (SND). He has also been General Director of Communications for the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and Manager of Communications for the Central Bank of Chile.
Daniel Bellasio is a journalist and editor of Il Sole 24 Ore. A graduate of law school, he began his career at Il Foglio, as a proofreader. Later, he became a professional journalist for Il Borghese. After a time on TV with the financial group Class, he returned to Il Foglio, eventually serving as the Deputy Executive Director. Currently, he works in the area of social media and the study of Big Data coming from the digital world. He also has coordinated the Office of Communication of the Pavillion of the Holy See at the Expo 2015 in Milan.
His Excellency Anthony Fallah Borwad is the bishop of the diocese of Gbarnga in Liberia. He was born in 1966 in Wodu. After high school, he entered the seminary of San Kizito in Kenema where he began his studies in preparation for the priesthood. Later, he completed his studies in philosophy first at the seminary of Saint Paul in Gbarnga and later at the seminary in Makeni in Sierra Leone, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1994. He finished his theological studies at the Regional Seminary of Saint Peter in Cape Coast (Ghana) and was ordained a priest in 1996 at the Cathedral of Monrovia, where he was also incardinated. After his ordination he became parochial vicar at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Monrovia and later at Saint Peter Claver Parish in Buchanan.
He earned his Licentiate in Institutional Communications at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. Later, upon his return to Liberia, he held various positions for the diocese, first as a pastor of the Church of Christ the King (Monrovia), then pastor of Saint Anthony (Monrovia) and director of the Archdiocesan Catholic Media Center. In 2004 he was named Spokesman for the Episcopal Conference of Libera and later Professor of Philosophy at the University of Liberia. In 2009 he was named Administrator of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Monrovia.
Maria Brancatisano serves as professor at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce) in Rome, where she leads the course “Love, Family, Education.” Since 2008, she has taught the course “Dual Anthropology” for the Faculty of Institutional Communication at the same university. She has published many essays on Leonardo di Mondadori. Her first essay on the theme of the family was Fino alla mezzanotte di mai. Apologia del matrimonio (“From Midnight Until Never. In Defense of Marriage.”) in 1997, and was translated into Spanish and German in a new edition in 2004 through Leonardo International. In 1998, still on Mondadori, she published Mi porterà a ballare. Discorso su Dio. (“He Makes Me Dance. Discourse on God”.) In 2000, again on Mondadori, she published her third book entitled Il vangelo spiegato a mio figlio. Racconti insoliti prima della buonanotte. (“The Gospel Explained to My Son. Unusual Stories Before Bedtime.”) In 2004, she published the anthropological essay Approccio all’antropologia della differenza (EDUSC) (“Approaching the Anthropology of Difference”). In 2015 she published through Edusc Uomo e Donna. Considerazioni sull’Antropologia Duale (“Man and Woman. Considerations on Dual Anthropologies.”).
Carroggio is a professor of Institutional Communication (specifically, communications and management) at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, and has worked for the Department of Communications for the Prelature of Opus Dei in Rome since 1998. He has a Doctor of Science degree in Communications, and is author or editor of the following books: "L'ufficio stampa nella comunicazione del no-profit" (2009), "Direzione strategica della comunicazione nella Chiesa: nuove sfide, nuove proposte" (2007), "Comunicazione di qualità fra Chiesa e media" (2003), "Patrocinio deportivo" (1996) e "Television in the Olympics" (1995). He has published various articles and essays on institutional communications of the Church.
Alessandro Chessa graduated with a degree in Physics and received a PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Cagliari (Italy). From January 1996 to October 1998 he was in charge of the technological infrastructure of Scelta (now goal.com), a leading company in the field of internet sport content management. From April 1999 to July 2000 he served as a Research Associate for the Physics Department at Boston University, studying Econophysics. During that time he also worked as a scientific consultant at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste) for a project on parallel computation.
From October 2000 to January 2003 he was Scientific Consultant and Chief Business Development Operator for Abbeynet, a leading company in Europe for telecommunication software over the Internet. Since 2002 he has been working as a private internet marketing consultant. Since 2003 he has been teaching a university course on “data structure and algorithms.” As an entrepreneur he is the founder of the SME Linkalab.
In 2012 he worked as an adjunct researcher at the Institute for Complex Systems (CNR) with Sapienza University in Rome, doing research on the field of complex network theory.
Presently, he is Associate Professor in Statistical Physics at IMT, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Lucca (Italy). He is an expert of complex networks and data science, and has worked in the area of community detection for spatial networks.

Ronnie Convery is the Director of Communications for the Archdiocese of Glasgow. As such, he is responsible for all internal and external communication (press liaisons, monthly newspapers, website, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter feeds), policy advice, and event management. He works as an adviser for political institutions and event management. He is, moreover, the founder and editor of an online news portal for the Italian community in Scotland (www.italianscotland.com). He also has worked for Ancona Media in various phases of production and development of information, as well as in the area of public relations and web design.
Diego Contreras currently serves as Vice Rector of Communications at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce), where he teaches Analysis and Practice of Information. In addition, he is a correspondent in Italy and the Vatican for Europa Press. He earned his Doctorate in Communications from the University of Navarre. He has published various works of research in the area of news coverage of the Catholic Church, among which “The Catholic Church and the Press” (2004) and “Strategic Directions of Communications in the Church” (2007). Since 2005 he has maintained a blog on the Church and journalism.
Yago de la Cierva is adjunct professor of Preventative Communications and Crisis Management at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce). After earning a degree in law, he dedicated the entirety of his professional career to four areas of communication: journalism (having founded and directed the international television agency Rome Reports), corporate communications (having served as Director of Corporate Communications at IESE Business School), university teaching (in addition to Santa Croce, he is a lecturer in Corporate Communication and Crisis Management and Communication for IESE Business School’s MBA program), and finally, international consulting in the area of crisis management, with particular emphasis on educational institutions. Having served as Executive Director of the 2011 World Youth Day in Madrid, he also teaches Event Organization and Communications Planning at the King Juan Carlos University in Madrid. Norberto Gonzalez Gaitano (Alcaraz, Spain) is a Professor of Public Opinion at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.
He has a Degree and a Ph.D in Communcations from the Universidad de Navarra, Spain and has served as professor of Ethics of Communication at both the Universidad de La Laguna, Spain (1990-1996) and the Universidad de Navarra, Spain (1981-1990). He was a Visiting Research Scholar at both the University of Chicago (2008-2009) and the Catholic University of America (Washington, 1995), and presently directs a research project on the formation of public opinion in the Catholic Church. Norberto is currently a Consultant of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications.

His Excellency Phillipe Jourdan, Apostolic Administration of Estonia, was born in 1960 in Dax, France, in a family with three children, one of which is also a priest. He studied road engineering at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees and worked for a time in the field of engineering until he decided to travel to Rome and begin theological studies at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. He was ordained a priest in 1988 and worked four years as a chaplain of various university groups in Paris.
In addition to being pastor at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul in Tallinn, in 1996 he as named Vicar General of the Apostolic Administration of Estonia, a role he currently occupies. In 1997 he was named representative of the Catholic Church for the Council of the Churches of Estonia, an institution which he has been Vice President of since 2004.
Fr. José María La Porte is a priest and professor of Institutional Communications at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce). He is currently Dean of the Faculty of Institutional Communications. He has a Doctorate in Social Communications from the University of Navarre in Spain and in Theology from Santa Croce, as well as a Master of Science degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Fr. Ivan Maffeis (b. 1963 in Pinzolo) is a priest of the Archdiocese of Trent and Director of the National Office for Social Communications for the Italian Bishops’ Conference. Before this, Don Maffies worked for ten years as the director of the weekly publication Vita Trentina, director of Radio Studio Seven in-Blue, and head of press and communications for his diocese.
A priest since 1988, he worked as a pastor for six years, and obtained his doctorate at the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome in 1997 with a thesis on pastoral care in communications. He taught at the Theological Academy of Trent and currently teaches at the Salesian and Lateran universities. He also worked for six years as the National Secretary of FISC, a federation of diocesan weekly publications in Italy.
Rita Marchetti is Professor of New Media Theory and Practice for the Department of Communication Science at the University of Perugia. She is currently working on her doctorate in the area of the social and political theory and since 2013 has been a research collaborator with the Department of Institutions and Society for the University of Perugia on a project related to individual processes that lead to voting decisions. From 2009 until 2012 she led in a research project on parishes and the internet for the Center of Catholic Universities of the Italian Bishops’ Conference. Charles Marsh is the Oscar Stauffer Professor of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. His primary areas of research involve public relations, ethics and classical rhetoric. His research has appeared in Public Relations Inquiry, Journal of Public Relations Research, Public Relations Review, Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, Journal of Mass Media Ethics and other journals. She was a successful business entrepreneur in advertising for some 25 years who embarked on a mission, 12 years ago following an inspiration of vocation at a retreat led by Father Kevin Scallon. Marion and her team are the developers and the inspiration behind the Annual Global Rosary Relay for Priests now in its seventh year. The idea is a simple one: each of the 100 participating shrines in some 50 countries prays a particular mystery of the Rosary at a particular allocated time on 3 June 2016 in thanksgiving to God for our priests and to implore the protection and loving care of Our Lady, Mother of all priests, for all her priestly sons. At midnight on 3 June 2016, the entire world, will have been encircled in prayer for our priests on The Annual Rosary Relay Day, which has become one of the largest gathering of a world at prayer for one purpose, one prayer, one day.

Ashley graduated in International Business and Marketing from the University of Dayton, Ohio, holds a Masters in Theology from Holy Apostles Seminary, an STL in Communications, and is a PhD candidate in Communications.
Paolo Padrini, born May 24, 1973 in Novi Ligure (AL) is a priest of the Diocese of Tortona, whose passion for communication and education on new methods of communication led him to specialize in Pastoral Theology of Social Communications at the Pontifical Lateran University. He has a great passion for music and the arts that has led him to earn a diploma in Organ from the Vivaldi Conservatory in Alessandria. Currently, he serves as a pastor while carrying out many activities in communications and methods of education. In 2008 he became a promoter of first technology initiatives for the Church through “iBreviary,” an app that allows one to read the breviary and other prayers in various digital platforms. As a result of this initiative he began to collaborate with Vatican agencies through an external initiative: the website “Pope2You.net.” He also serves as an adviser for Catholic initiatives in the digital world. Presently, thanks to numerous publications, books and articles, he carries out educational activities through numerous encounters with children, youth, priests, and educators on education and the use of social networks.

She is a recipient of the Garcilaso award and the academic award “Fin de Carrera” in Communication.
For ten years, she was professor of Political Communication and Legal Institutions and Policies at the Department of Communications at the University of Navarra. There, she helped launch a Master’s program in Political and Corporate Communication, where she currently teaches. Her research has focused on the theory of Framing, which has been published in numerous articles and two books.

Damien is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and holds a BA in Fine Arts/Communication Arts and Design. He helps various local Catholic apostolates with their web and social media platforms. Damien and his wife Tracy Lyn have four children, reside in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and are members of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Both Damien and his wife credit their Catholic faith to Relevant Radio.
Ordained a priest in 1967, Fr. Antonio Maria Sicari belongs to the Order of Discalced Carmelites. He holds a Doctorate in Theology and a Licentiate in Biblical Studies. He taught Dogmatic Theology and Church History at the University of Brescia, as well as in Carmelite Theological Studies, and assisted in the creation of the Italian journal Communio. He currently dedicates his time to study and spiritual guidance for the Carmelite Ecclesial Movement, an organization he founded which is widespread in several Italian cities and some other countries. He is author of numerous essays, with particular emphasis on Saintly figures.
Karen Toftera is the Head of Digital at CAFOD, the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales and part of Caritas International. She has a degree in Religion and Politics from the University in Bergen, Norway. The role entails overseeing the development, coordination and implementation of a coherent and consistent approach to digital communications across CAFOD and using these to deliver CAFOD’s fundraising, advocacy, campaigning and wider educational activities. She has previous digital experience from a leading multi-channel consumer media company in the UK.
Giovanni Tridente is a journalist and coordinator of the Office of Communications for the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, where he coordinates Position Papers and is assistant professor of Information Ethics. Alfredo Vela is a professor at the Catholic University of El Salvador, Director of Club Torre / El Molino, and staff member at InteraXion Group, an educational project that aims to train adolescents in the responsible use of ICT (social networking, internet, and video games). He is a representative of the Educare Group, which integrates various businesses that develop, market, and implement educational programs. He also serves as director of the Office of Opus Dei in El Salvador.
Dario Edoardo Viganò (27th June 1962, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), is the Prefect of the Secretariat for Communication of the Holy See as of June of 2015 and the Director of the Vatican Television Center - CTV as of January 2013. He is a Professor of Theology of Communication at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome, Dean of the Pastoral Institute "Redemptor Hominis" from 2006 to 2012 and Director of the Center for Advanced Studies at the Lateran (CLAS). From 2006 until 2015 he was Professor of Audiovisual Languages and Markets for the Political Science Department at the LUIS “Guido Carli” University of Rome and is member of the Steering Committee for the Centre for Media and Communication Studies (CMCS) "Massimo Baldini" (now the Centre for Media and Democratic Innovations "Massimo Baldini"). From 2004 until 2013 he also was president of the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo and Director of the magazine Rivista del Cinematografo, during which time he also was president of the National Commission of Film Reviews for the National Italian Bishops’ Conference (CEI). As a member of the Pontifical Theological Academy, since 2010 he has published various studies and analyses on the relationship between the methods of communication and the Catholic world, especially in the area of film.
His Excellency Basilio Yaldo was born in Iraq in 23 May 1970. In 1994 he began his studies for the priesthood at the Patriarch Seminary at Baghdad. In 1996, he was sent to Rome to complete his theological studies at the Pontifical Urban University (Urbaniana). He was ordained to the priesthood on November 23, 2002. He completed a master’s degree in Dogmatic Theology (Marian Studies) from the Urbaniana in 2003. In 2004, he was appointed assistant director of the seminary in Dora (Baghdad), and a teacher in Dogmatic Theology at Babel College in Iraq. He also became personal secretary of Patriarch Emanuel III Delly, from 2004 until 2006. In April 29, 2007 he was appointed associate pastor of St. George Chaldean Catholic Church in Michigan, USA, a role he held until June 2014. He earned a Ph.D. in theology from the Urbaniana in 2013. In July 2014 Fr. Basel was appointed Administrator of the Chaldean Catholic Cathedral (Mother of God Church) in Michigan.
He has published 13 books and written many articles in different magazines. He was ordained a Bishop on February 6, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Church in Baghdad.
