"The mystery of Christ made present in the liturgy". XVI Seminar hosted by the Faculty of Theology
March 3 and 4 2015, on the initiative of the Faculty of Theology, the Congress The mystery of Christ made present in the liturgy took place.
Among the aims of the initiative was to "offer a theological reflection on the liturgy that directs the attention towards its center and root", that is, "the mystery of Christ".
According to the organizers: "This mystery is to be understood with all its facets as presented in the New Testament, both in the Gospels and in the Pauline Letters. The "mystery" is identified with Christ: His Person, His Pasch, united to the Church as His Body, through the gift of the Holy Spirit.
This perspective leads to a historical-salvific understanding of the liturgy. The main addresses are situated in this context: the mystêrion in the New Testament; mysterium and sacramentum in the liturgical sources; the actualization of the mystery in the liturgy; the liturgy of the hours, as a celebration of the mystery; the experience of the paschal mystery through liturgical music; Christian life as marked by the mystery celebrated".
