“Educative role of Philosophy”. The XXII Conference of the Faculty, February 23 and 24

From February 23 to 24, 2015, the XXII Seminar of the Philosophy Faculty took place, on the theme “Philosophy as Paideia”. Further, the educative role of this discipline was explored, from historical-philosophical, theoretical and didactic-pedagogical perspectives.

Three round tables there was, focusing on the many educative aspects of philosophy; particularly, its impact on the “scholastic and academic” world (speakers will be prof. Giacomo Samek Lodovici, from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, and Prof. Maria Teresa Russo, from the University of “Roma Tre” Studies), in the “professional life” (speakers will be Prof. Benedetta Giovanola, from the University of Macerata, Eng. Nuzio Miritillo, President Ericsson Mediterranean Region, and Prof. Francesco Perillo, from the University “Suor Orsola Benincasa” of Naples), as well as in the “formation of man and the Christian” (with participation of the Rector of Holy Cross, Mons. Luis Romera, and of Prof.  Giuseppe Savagnone, from Lumsa of Palermo).
