“The Church Up Close” 2014 Seminar for Journalists that Report on the Catholic Church
The fourth Church Up Close seminar entitled Covering Catholicism in the Age of Francis was held from September 8th through the 14th. It was organized and managed by the School of Communications in collaboration with the ISCOM Association.

It was an intensive one-week seminar held in English for journalists hailing from around the globe that report on the Catholic Church.
In addition to presentations, there was great opportunity for professional networking as well as scheduled visits to representative offices of the Roman Curia and Holy See.
Among many other noteworthy speakers was Card. George Pell (Secretary of Finance), Card. Jean-Louis Tauran (Interreligious Dialogue), Archbishop Rino Fisichella (The New Evangelization) and Msgr. José Avelino Bettencourt (Head of Protocol for the Secretary of State).
