Victoria Martín de la Torre

Victoria Martin de la Torre ( Madrid, 1973) is press counselor of the Group of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament since 2008. Previously developed her career as a journalist mainly in the weekly Tiempo, where she was head of the international section, but has also worked in OTR / Press, Antena 3TV , CNN in Spanish and The Wall Street Journal in Spanish .

BA in Journalism from the Complutense University. In 1999 she earned a Masters in Journalism from Columbia University (NY) thanks to a Fulbright scholarship, and in 2003 a Masters in Politics and the EU Administration of the College of Europe (Bruges).

In 2007 she published the book "Viaje a la ciudad de Belén. Cuna del Amor, semilla de Intifada" (Ed. Barrabés ) and next spring she will publish a book on the origins of the European Union and its founders .

Victoria is president of the Abraham Forum for Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue (Madrid ) and fellow of the Alliance of Civilizations at the UN.
