Academic Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas, patron of the School of Theology

Tuesday 21 January 2014, the School of Theology celebrated the academic feast in honor of its Patron Saint Thomas Aquinas. 
After the Holy Mass in the Basilica of Saint Apollinaris, Rev. Prof. Antonio Ducay held a conference on The opening of human life to divine grace: the cornerstones of doctrine.

Saturday 18 January 2014 (10:00 am, Aula Benedetto XVI), initatied by the Research Center Markets, Culture & Ethics, and in collaboration with the Center Elis, an italian preview of the film "The Book Thief" was screened, produced by 20th Century Fox.

Academic Feast of Saint Raymond of Penafort, patron of the School of Canon Law

Thursday 16 January, the School of Canon Law celebrated its academic Feast in honor of the Patron Saint Raymond of Penafort. 
After the Holy Mass in the Basilica of Saint Apollinaris, Prof. Piero Antonio Bonnet, the Sole Judge of Vatican City, held the conference Error on the essential properties of marriage.

Two volumes containing the Proceedings of the Symposium The Gospels: History and Christology. The Research of Joseph Ratzinger – Benedetto XVI, which was held in Rome from 24 to 26 October 2013, was recently published. The initiative, promoted by the Joseph Ratzinger – Benedetto XVI Foundation, was also collaborated under our University.

20 Scholarships for Doctorate students of the Pontifical Universities

Until 30 April 2014 is the selection process for 20 scholarships to be awarded to students enrolled in doctorate research at a University relating to the Regional Committee of Coordination of the University of Lazio and the Conference of Rectors at the Pontifical Universities in Rome.

The Magnificent Rector and Academic Community of the Pontifical University of Santa Croce wish a Merry Christmas and blessings in the New Year 2014.

NOTICE

During the Christmas season, the academic activities will be suspended from 24 December 2013 until 6 January 2014.  From 2 to the 5 January there will be courses by ISSR all'Apollinare, while lectures from the Schools will resume Tuesday 7 January.

Christmas Concert sponsored by the Alumni Association and the Roman Academy of Arts

Wednesday 18 December, the Alumni Association of the University and the Roman Academy of Arts have sponsored a Christmas Concert, thanks to which, the Department of Promotion Development proposed the collection of free donations intended to fund scholarships for priests from dioceses with special economic problems.
