User Education Courses
The library organizes three annual sessions aimed at teaching how to use our Koha electronic catalog, as well as other specialized data bases.
These courses are divided into two levels:
- BASIC: explains how to research with the Simple Search and Browse functions (searching the INDEX)
- ADVANCED: intended for patrons who are already familiar with Simple Search, this course focuses on how Advanced Searches and Boolean search engines operate, in order to obtain more specific results. It also offers an overview of the most important national and international libraries' electronic catalogs.
Sessions typically take place in November, January, and March-April, in one of the Library classrooms, and last for 2 hours.
Once the dates for each session are published, registration can be completed by sending an email to library [at] pusc [dot] it. Please specify in the subject line which course you wish to attend, and indicate in the body section your general, personal information. Please also include the number on your University card (7 digits).
