Prof. Wenceslao Vial has chaired a week of study on psychological maturity and Christian life in the Center of Studies, Altoclaro, in Venezuela.

In Easter week, Prof. Wenceslao Vial, member of the Center for Priestly Formation, was invited by the Priestly Theological Center at Venezuela to teach a course on Psychological Maturity and Christian Life. The workshop took place between the 29th and 31st of March, always with a practical purpose and promoting an interactive model. The morning sessions were given to about fifty priests, and in the afternoon it was the turn for twenty-seven seminarians.

The course began with an introductory lecture on psychological maturity of the person, and then those concepts were applied to different situations: youth and marriage ministry, vocational discernment, affective education, and support for people suffering from various mental illnesses.

The sessions took place in a relaxed atmosphere, which also facilitated moments of common prayer and sharing of pastoral experience among the priests and seminarians coming from several dioceses and seminaries. The relaxed environment also allowed personal reflection to return with renewed strength to ordinary occupations.

Moreover, Prof. Vial, based on his studies of Psicology and Christian Life, has also been invited to teach two classes to teachers of Monteávila University in Caracas, on the topics of Freedom according to Schools of Psychology and Responsibility in the Context of Dependency.

The parishes of the Holy Family and St. Josemaría in Caracas also invited Prof. Vial for a session on Family and Maturity of Personality.
