Department of Languages - Intensive Course of Latin (September)

Latin intensive course
September 2014

Forget the hundreds of rules and exceptions to memorize,
with "easy Latin" methodology!

Prof.ssa Maria Cristina Formai
Pontifical University of the Holy Cross

Are you a student of philosophy, theology, canon law, or other humanities, and don’t you know Latin? Would you like to learn well, quickly, and without studying by heart, this important tool for your studies? The intensive course is for you! It is specially designed both for people who do not come from neo-Latin language areas, both for those who had a scientific or technical education and never studied Latin.
The method " easy Latin" is based on inferences, reasoning, similarities and differences, favoring a quick and effective learning. The texts and exercises are drawn from works of Christian philosophers, theological treatises, documents of the Magisterium of the Church, judgments of the Roman Rota, etc.
This methodology is usued with excellent results to teach the language of Cicero and Augustine to students of philosophy, theology and canon law from around the world. The method can also be useful for those who studied Latin at school but forgot it, and would like to study it again in a new and more funny way.
The teaching materials needed for the lessons will be provided during the course.
