a. By the end of the first semester, students must submit a request for their thesis topic's approval,  indicating the thesis director they have chosen. It should be addressed to the Dean of Faculty and submitted to the Academic Registrar. Along with the request, an outline bearing their Director's approval must be attached. The approved topic is valid for 5 years, after which time it must be renewed yearly.
